Celebrating Friendship and Achievements

Hello Dear readers, apologies for my inconsistent writing, life has been really hard lately but we push:)

There’s something special about celebrating with friends. It’s the joy of shared laughter, the comfort of familiar faces, and the warmth of knowing that you’re surrounded by people who truly care about your happiness. That’s exactly what I experienced today when my friends and I gathered at Tashas in Rosebank to celebrate a dear friend’s incredible achievement.

If you’ve ever been to Tashas, you know it’s more than just a restaurant. It’s an experience. Nestled in the heart of Rosebank, Tashas combines an elegant, yet cozy atmosphere with a menu that’s nothing short of mouth-watering. The decor is chic with a dash of Mediterranean flair, which makes it the perfect backdrop for both casual hangouts and special celebrations. As we walked in, the friendly buzz of conversation, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and the vibrant ambiance set the tone for the day ahead.

We had gathered  today for a very special reason: to celebrate one of our friend’s remarkable achievements. A successful project, and another milestone, it was clear that this was a moment worth commemorating. There’s something incredibly uplifting about recognizing someone’s hard work and perseverance. We all felt that surge of pride and joy for our friend, and it was evident in every hug, smile, and toast that followed.

No celebration is complete without good food, and Tashas did not disappoint. The menu is a delightful blend of global influences with a Mediterranean twist. From hearty breakfast options to flavorful lunches and indulgent desserts, there’s something for everyone.

I started with their famous savvas chicken pasta – a classic choice, but done to perfection. The creamy chicken paired with parmesan cheese and a hint of chillies was simply divine. Others in the group opted for dishes like the grilled halloumi salad, each plate as beautifully presented as it was delicious. And let’s not forget the drinks – from fresh juices to creative cocktails, we were thoroughly spoiled for choice. I settled on a refreshing passion fruit and lemonade, which was the perfect accompaniment to the sunny day.

As the food arrived, so did the stories. We reminisced about old times, laughed about inside jokes, and shared updates on our lives. There’s something magical about how a meal can bring people closer, creating a space for connection that goes beyond the daily hustle. We took our time, savoring each bite and every moment together. The waitstaff at Tashas were attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring that we had everything we needed without interrupting the flow of conversation.

After having an amazing meal, we had one of the most interesting desserts ever, with each bite bringing out a different flavour, giving us each a different feeling. It was a moment of pure gratitude. For the food, for the day, and most importantly, for each other. In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, it’s days like these that remind you of what really matters.

As we finally left Tashas, full and content, we couldn’t help but linger outside, reluctant to end such a perfect day. We snapped a few photos to capture the moment – because days like this deserve to be remembered. But more than the photos, it’s the feelings that stay with you. The sense of belonging, the happiness of shared joy, and the knowledge that you have a circle of friends who will always be there to celebrate your wins, big or small. The car ride home was just as exceptional as the day itself, being able to bond with each other and feeling safe and comfortable enough to be vulnerable.

Tashas in Rosebank was the perfect setting for a day of celebration. The food, the ambiance, and the company all came together to create a day that I’ll treasure for a long time. But more than anything, it was a reminder of how important it is to celebrate life’s achievements, both big and small, and to cherish the friends who make those moments even more special.

Here’s to many more amazing days like this, filled with good food, great friends, and unforgettable memories!
